Expedition 152 - 27th May 2006
Briaig Hill

This was an unusual outing, since I wasn't there. I had cancelled the expedition but I was gratified that Johnny was prepared to organise one in my absence. So this information is second-hand, but I think the details are correct. They had five explorers: Alasdair C., Edward, Fern, Robbie C. and Rowan, with five helpers, Howard, Johnny, Maggie, Paul and Sharon. No dogs on this trip.
I had given them a map with some details so they were able to spot the cultivation ridges and corn kiln at High Blain and followed the path to the top of the hill with no trouble.
This was a special expedition since Maggie and Paul were botanists and everyone spent a lot of time pointing out plants and getting them identified. So much so that by the time they reached the top of the path above Briaig, it was time to turn back for home again! They never reached the village.
By all accounts, everyone learned a lot about the local plants, I wish I had been there.
